Lodi 2026: a year of events, culture, and tradition

A program to explore the city and its surroundings: a region that surprises with its rich food and wine tradition, generous nature, and an artistic and cultural heritage of extraordinary value.

 

A packed calendar of events will enliven the city, offering a journey through history, music, art, literature, photography, and culinary excellence. From spring to winter, every month will be an opportunity to experience Lodi in its most authentic spirit

The Loretzes, a family of ceramists and painters between Lodi and Milan in the late 19th century - from March 5 to May 17, 2026, at the Cosway Foundation.

The exhibition celebrating a family of artists between the 19th century and modern times, curated by Enrico Venturelli with the direction of Luca Marcarini and the coordination of Marina Arensi, is divided into four sections that retrace the painting and ceramic production of Carlo Loretz, his son Giano and his grandson Carlo Jr. On display are over 100 works from public and private collections, including the family's own collection.

Lodi di Pace - starting April 9, 2026

Since 1454, the date of the signing of the historic peace treaty that made Lodi a symbol of the pacified Renaissance, the city has renewed its bond with harmony and culture. "Lodi di Pace" is a series of meetings, exhibitions, performances, and reflections on the theme of peace and dialogue between peoples, featuring prominent figures from the artistic, academic, and institutional worlds.

The Battle of the Bridge - Napoleon in Lodi - May 9 and 10, 2026

Two hundred and thirty years after the famous battle of 1796, Lodi commemorates the event that marked the rise of the young general Bonaparte. Conferences, exhibitions, performances, and detailed historical reenactments will revive the Napoleonic myth, restoring the city to the atmosphere of a crucial era for modern Europe.

Idol Music Festival - May 15 and 16

Music conquers Piazza della Vittoria with the "Idol Music Festival": an event dedicated to young people and new sound languages. Two days of concerts, performances, and DJ sets with emerging artists and established names in the Italian rap, trap, and electronic music scene.

Il Fiume dei Libri – Lodi Literary Festival - June 11 to 14

The festival that brings culture along the Adda River. Four days of meetings with writers, readings, workshops, and presentations to bring the river and the written word back to the center of city life.

Lodi al Sole - June to September

A tradition celebrating its 50th anniversary: ​​the summer festival "Lodi al Sole" transforms squares and streets into open-air stages. Concerts, shows, and celebrations showcase a city that thrives outdoors, also celebrating its founding on August 3, 1158.

Music Comes from the Cloister - June to September

In the Cloister of the Ospedale Vecchio, art, history, and science come together to offer a festival of theater, music, workshops, and meetings. A magical place where culture and community intertwine, creating emotions under the stars.

Volunteering and Social Cooperation Weekend - starting in September in Piazza della Vittoria

Two days of solidarity and participation: associations and cooperatives meet with citizens to share the value of giving, commitment, and community.

Forme del Gusto – Festival of Agri-Food Excellence - September 25th to 27th

An unmissable event for those who love good food and quality. With tastings, markets, cooking demonstrations, and meetings, the historic center celebrates the flavors of the Lodi and Lombardy regions, combining taste and culture.

Ethical Photography Festival 17th Edition - September to October

An international festival that explores major social issues through the lenses of the world's best photojournalists. Exhibitions, talks, workshops, and meetings make Lodi the capital of ethical photography.

Palio di Lodi - October 4, 2026

The heart of Lodi's tradition beats strong with the historic competition between the city's neighborhoods. A celebration of color, costumes, and a sense of belonging that evokes the city's ancient foundation.

BookCity Milano also comes to Lodi - starting October 2026

Literature, art, cinema, philosophy, and music blend together in a vast hub of culture. BookCity Milano also comes to Lodi with meetings and initiatives that transform the city into a laboratory of ideas and creativity.

Orfeo Week, 5th edition - starting November

A refined festival combining baroque music and contemporary research, under the direction of countertenor Raffaele Pe and his ensemble La Lira di Orfeo. A fascinating journey through myth, art, and beauty.

Holiday Magic - from Santa Lucia to Epiphany

The Christmas atmosphere lights up the city with shows, markets, rides, and traditions that engage adults and children alike. A time suspended between magic, solidarity, and sharing to end the year in a spirit of wonder.
