For three whole days Lodi returns to being the capital of the good and the beautiful of Lombardy: from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th September the appointment with "Le Forme del Gusto - Festival of Agri-food Excellence" is confirmed which from morning to evening, in heart of the city, will offer food for direct sale, in-depth meetings, workshops and show cooking, without forgetting tastings, guided tours and even cruises on the Adda river.
The official inauguration of the event, now in its eleventh edition, is scheduled for Friday 22nd at 5pm in Piazza della Vittoria.
Taste, catering and photography: consolidated alliance
As in recent years, the Festival of Agri-food Excellence will also be an opportunity to present two other events which will take place in the following weeks and which now constitute a solid tourist, cultural and entrepreneurial heritage of the area: the Festival of Ethical Photography and the Review Gastronomy of the Lodi area.
The exhibition which brings the restaurants of the Lodi area online, now in its 35th edition, will have a preview, by invitation only, at 6.30pm on 22 September at the former Convent of San Cristoforo in via Fanfulla 14.
The preview of the 14th edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography will be held on Friday 22 September at 6pm (by invitation) at the Ex Cavallerizza in via Fanfulla 6, organized by the Festival organisation.
The exhibition-market heart of the festival
As in all previous editions, at the center of "Le Forme del Gusto" for the entire weekend there will be the market exhibition of the excellence of Lodi and Lombardy food and wine: over forty stands for direct sales of products from the agri-food chain coming from almost one hundred companies in the sector present individually or in association. Wine, cheese, meat, cured meats, bread, pasta, desserts, honey, mushrooms, truffles and many other table treasures will cover the entire perimeter of Piazza della Vittoria from 9am to 7pm on all three days, developing around the central area dedicated to cooking demonstrations, public meetings and tastings.
